Time for us to check on our Yi Qi Li! WT?
Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that Yi (the mind) leads Qi (life energy) which creates Li (strength/flexibility of body) : basically, through directing the mind we move our energy and in turn, create physical strength ...cycling through ‘the three’ towards a balanced wholeness. So, just as activity and strength are vital, meditation is just so : mindfulness retrains the mind to, in between wanderings, regain focus on what we are trying to achieve. Power of mind leads to a powerful and healthier body because Yi is our control centre and any Qi begins from this mental process before we can be energised and feel a fortified Li that can spark action! If you feel stuck in your cycle towards balanced wholeness, TCM is a pivotal building block of kinesiology and can check ‘the three’ for blockages. Balanced Yi Qi Li is🔑!🙏🏻☀️breathe. listen. be well. Saying 'yes' to everything while feeling yourself sinking ...then saying, 'yes' again? Have fatigue and irritability become a gnawing stress, eating away at your energy levels, patience and quality of life?
Wisdom for Wellness FREE workshops at @harmoniahealth kick off this SAT 19TH MAY with the inaugural session focusing on NURTURING the NURTURER. Sunita of @_mindfulmumma_and I are so looking forward to chatting with our community about the tricky balance between giving and receiving care. Whether you are caring for family - bubs, children, partners, aging parents - or friends or neighbours in need either personally or in a work capacity, there are tips and tricks for nurturing your own energy upkeep - of course, we’ll also offer some vital relaxation and healing time. This workshop will focus on something many of us undertake every day and which can zap our zest if not understood and managed well ...nurturing and caring for others. In examining this, we will of course need to consider the primary responsibility of nurturing and caring for ourselves, as carers. An informative and experiential session aimed at equipping carers with tips and tools for keeping their own cups full enough to pour loving energy into others, happily and healthily. Sunita and I will blend expertise from our modalities to assist you with:
The workshop will close with a nurturing guided chakra meditation with sound healing. Sessions are free but places are limited so it’s a good idea to book a spot via the Facebook event page. We welcome you to wellness and hope to have your participation and input as we build our ongoing workshop series🙏🏻breathe. listen. be well. #carer #carers #kinesiology #reiki#holistichealth #wellbeing #wellness#energymedicine #energyhealing#aryuveda #acupressure#traditionalchinesemedicine #meridians#chakras #adifferentapproachtohealth#southmelbourne #portmelbourne#albertpark #stkilda #middlepark#melbourne #preventativemedicine “Yi, the legendary master archer can teach you how to shoot, but he cannot make you hit the bull’s-eye” ...”In the same vein, the essential details of the art of medicine cannot be fully transmitted through the medium of language; they can be expressed through the rationale of numbers, but they cannot be fully understood by this rationale alone.” ...”When faced with the unlimited potential of life’s changes, therefore, one must ultimately rely on the truth that flows from one’s own heart rather than on the rigid adherence to orthodox principles - otherwise loss will be certain.” from Fang Xiaoru (Ming Dynasty) ‘The Physician in Touch with the Source’ [excerpt from Lonny Jarrett, ‘The Clinical Practice of Chinese Medicine’]
Is it our physical body that houses and gives life to our heart and spirit? Or is it our heart and spirit that give direction, form and condition to our physical state? How does the way we think about our health and wellbeing affect our health and wellbeing? Perhaps thinking differently is enough sometimes to find answers and feel whole and well - and not just as a patient or client - as a health practitioner, my heart is as curious as my head; I feel compelled to gather knowledge not from one book but from many, and not just from books but also from looking, listening, from understanding energy and vibration, to see my clients as physical, emotional and spiritual beings and therefore, to look for solutions for them from many health angles.📚💓💭breathe. listen. be well. #kinesiology #wellbeing#holistichealth #adifferentapproachtohealth#mindbodysoul #energyhealing#anatomyandphysiology #wellness#biofeedback #traditionalchinesemedicine#meridians #chakras #reiki#southmelbourne #portmelbourne #stkilda#albertpark #melbourne#preventativemedicine |
